The 10th ICSECM 2019 is proud to host a special session on Disaster Risk Management with the collaboration of the research work produced in the CABARET Project (Capacity Building in Asia for Resilience EducaTion) and its partners across the globe. The event was organized by the University of Peradeniya, a CABARET partner institution from Sri Lanka. The event took place in Earls Regency, in Kandy Sri Lanka during 12th to 14th December 2019. Prof Dilanthi Amaratunga delivered a Keynote address at the event. In addition, a Special Session on Disaster Risk Reduction with the title of achieving Sustainability through Disaster Risk Reduction in Critical Infrastructure was co-chaired by Prof Dilanthi Amaratunga and Prof Richard Haigh at the Global Disaster Resilience Centre, University of Huddersfield, UK. Further 10 papers were presented by CABARET members at the conference in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
