Prof Dilanthi Amaratunga, attended the 7th Steering Committee Meeting of the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR)/UNHABITAT Making Urban Cities Resilient Campaign. The event was convened in Barcelona, Spain during 24th - 25th April 2019. She has contributed to the development of 2020 - 2030 Global Urban City Resilient strategy in facilitating cities and nations to achieve Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Redcution and Sustainable Development Goals. The Campaign has been very successful in raising awareness and political profile for disaster risk reduction and urban resilience during the last decade.
